COMMON QUESTIONS

PEO Alignment Score™ FAQs for private equity

What to know before using it across your portfolio.

Can we use the PEO Alignment Score™ for companies with and without a PEO?

Yes. Companies already using a PEO receive questions about alignment with their current provider. Companies without a PEO receive questions about whether a PEO would align with their business. Both receive a score from 0 to 100, an explanation, and a recommended next step.

Who should complete the questions?

Choose a leader who understands the company’s current PEO relationship or HR, payroll, and benefits operations. This may be a CFO, HR leader, or another company executive. Each company should complete its own PEO Alignment Score™.

How long does it take, and is there a charge?

It takes about three minutes per company to answer 10 questions. There is no charge. Respondents enter their name, company, and work email to view their results. A phone number is optional, and no appointment is required.

How should our private equity team use the results?

Ask each company leader to share their result. Use the individual results to identify current PEO relationships that need attention and companies where a PEO could align. A lower score does not automatically mean a company should switch providers or rule out a PEO. Dinsmore Steele can help your team interpret the results and determine next steps.
